Main-ly There
As of Ground Hog Day, 2020, the design work for the initial layout of the “main board” is complete. This is the board that houses the main control micro-controller (MCU), sensor inputs, touchscreen connection, power components, and all the audio-related components (pickup connector, codecs, DSP MCUs, etc.).
Next is review and getting quotes, then assembly, then testing.
There’s been other progress on the electronics front as well.
- The printed circuit board (PCB) for the pickups is getting a small tweak so that it can accommodate 10 or 12 strings (the prototype will have only 10).
- The design of the small sensor PCBs is nearly done (there will be one for each pedal and lever).
Main board for the OnePSG as of Feb 2, 2020.
