So close

Due to an unexpected obstacle, Frank had to focus on something else. He and Alan decided to more or less "hand off" the rest of the work on the physical body to someone else ... Alan should work with Buck Reid in Nashville.

However, Frank (who evidently couldn't help himself) continued working whenever he could steal a few moments. He devised some clever mechanisms for the pedal and lever sensors to get good readings. AFter finishing the wood on the cabinet, he shipped it to Alan.

Alan made a trek to Nashville and worked with Buck Reid to install and set up the electronics. We were to have someone rout the wood to make a hole for the touchwscreen and to machine four holes in the right endplate to accommodate the various external connectors. Unfortunately things didn't quite work out.

That combined with a minor audio glitch (no doubt a software problem) forced us to cancel the demonstration of the prototype that we'd planned for the following Sunday.

Alan returned home and has been working on tracking down whatever the software issue is.

UPDATE: The audio problem related to pitch-shifting was solved. Thanks to Jeff Snyder for the remote, tandem debugging session! Alan has shipped the prototype back to Frank who will do the routing and machining. Then ... then, the prototype will ... live!
